Ulster and Leinster have named their sides this morning for tomorrow afternoon’s top of the table clash at Ravenhill. KO 6:00pm.
Ulster’s backs are exactly as expected with the only change being Whitten in for Wallace to set up an intriguing midfield battle with Dizzy and the Caveman taking on Irish Rugby’s golden couple of O’Driscoll and D’Arcy.
If the referee isn’t too star struck and deafened by the clanking of golden balls I actually expect the Ulster pair to come out on top on this occasion, especially as Ulster’s half backs should give them the edge.
Another fantastic head to head will be flying Fijians, Nagusa and Nacewa with Jim eager to make a statement following his midweek omission form the national side after his summer contretemps with the coaching staff.
It’s certainly going to be an interesting battle up front with McLaughlin making a few forced and unforced changes. Ferris is obviously a big loss but I’m actually quite excited about watching Houra as he’s now had a chance to get up to match fitness. I’d have loved to have seen Diack battle Heaslip from the off but Henry and Heaslip should be equally enthralling…
Faloon against O’Brien is another head to head oozing intrigue and Caldwell and Hines will be a captivating engagement that could decide the match, depending on who is carded first.
Saturday afternoon, sell out crowd, pissing down rain and vocal visiting supporters! Bring it on.
