Ulster Head Coach Brian McLaughlin has named a 23-man squad, ahead of Ulster’s Magners League away game, against Ospreys on Saturday evening (KO 6.30pm.).
Expect one of the scrum halves to drop out of the match day 22 with the likely selection being Willis to start with Boss on the bench to cover scrum half, full back or indeed the wing.
No out and out second row cover so it looks likely that Horua, with his extra bulk, will be asked to step in here if required.
Interesting omissions are Tom Court and Matt McCullough and no mention of them in the “Not available for selection” part, but, such is the sketchy nature of Ulster Rugby’s coverage, I guess we’ll have to wait for the Belfast Telegraph or the BBC to tell us why the pair are not in the running!
The playing 22 will be announced on Friday at noon.
FORWARDS: Nigel Brady, Brendon Botha, Bryan Young, Ed O’Donoghue, Andy Kyriacou, Dan Tuohy, Robbie Diack, Chris Henry, Willie Faloon, Thomas Anderson, Tamaiti Horua, Declan Fitzpatrick
BACKS: Timoci Nagusa, Darren Cave, Niall O’Connor, Simon Danielli, Ian Whitten, Paul Marshall, Isaac Boss, Ian Humphreys, Jonny Shiels, Cillian Willis, Clinton Schifcofske
Not available for selection: Bryn Cunningham, Ryan Caldwell, David Pollock due to injury. Stephen Ferris, Paddy Wallace and Andrew Trimble are not available for selection under the Rugby Word Cup 2011 Player Management Programme.
This match will be shown live at The Rosetta Bar in the lounge. Pizzas and Panini’s will be available to purchase for your culinary delight!

I expect Isaac not only to start but start as captain.
We need to get McCullough on a pie eating mission. The sooner he gets back to the second row the better.

Boss should start….he is our best no 9 by a mile. I wonder if Clinton has been practising his goal-kicking. Could be useful seeing as neither of our no 10′s is any good.

I agree with GG, Boss is our best no 9 by a mile and Clinton will start at fullback. The only other option was McCrea at full back but he didn’t make the squad

I’d like to see Clint have a go at kicking, we have to take any points on offer and IH is not consistent at it.
Lets hope I don’t witness another 40+ hiding like my previous 2 visits to Swansea .. roll on Wind Street
sat night
