Can only be described as a disappointment if you are an Ulster fan with only Court, Ferris, Wallace and Trimble included. Why does he include Mick O’Driscoll and Shane Horgan two players who are past their sell buy date and will never win another cap between them?
Kidney has at least named 5 uncapped players whom he obviously rates better than anything Ulster has to offer: –
Sean Cronin, Connacht hooker, one season with the bottom club in the Magners League, the fact that he is Limerick born and came through the Munster Academy has nothing to do with his selection.
Cian Healy, pin up boy of Ladyboys front row, turned over twice by Ulster A front row last season.
Fergus McFadden, Leinster centre, had a good Churchill cup for Ireland A while Cave was doing the business for Ireland.
Devin Toner, Leinster second row. Who? Apparently 6’10", 120kg, 23yrs! Caldwell and O’Donoghue not up to it?
Brett Wilkinson, Connacht prop, another from the feared Connacht front row. 6′, 116kg South African born prop. The Bear might as well announce his retirement now.

They have their own TV show every Sunday STV at 5.30pm showing highlights of their matches that week with coverage starting on September 13.
Wales have free to view coverage (on two channels) and now so do Scotland… What about ULSTER?

I know its a slap in the face for those Ulster Players you mention who I agree one would expect to have been taken ahead of others but just from an Ulster supporters point of view I am not overly concerned that we don’t lose more players to these sessions. Yes if they were likely to start for Ireland I could see a better case but to take them away from the Ulster set-up just to make up the training squad numbers in Dublin will not help Ulster’s case.
I know this view isn’t a popular one but you did ask for comments RR.

You are right FT . When the next Irish team is announced Ulster will only have one in the 22, Ferris. The writing is on the wall for Wallace and Court.
