An interesting team selection by Ulster Coach Brian McLaughlin for tomorrows night match against Worcester Warriors.
In what was largely being touted as a run our for the starting team for Ulster’s Magners League opener against The Dragons next Sunday it now seems that McLaughlin is taking the opportunity to have another look at some of last night performers.
Last night’s Captain, Chris Henry, features in the back row for his third game in a week and combines with Faloon and Diack in a strong back row. Nagusa looks to have played his way into a starting spot with Porter and Shiels joining the replacements. Though in Shiels case it is more than likely as cover for Cave who is recovering from a bout of tonsillitis.
Irish U18 International Nevin Spence starts for the first time, after coming on for a replacement last Friday, and Andrew Trimble makes a welcome return to the centre after his re-hab.
Humphreys and Boss look nailed on as halfbacks but after last nights performance no one can afford to put in a below par performance.
With a strong looking Worcester side this game should let us know if it’s time to get excited or not!
