Finally managed to catch up with our old friend Todd Streeter, Head Coach with UW Parkside RFC, at Giants Causeway as he and his friends enjoyed a whistle stop tour of Ireland.
We last met Todd when he attended the Justin Fitzpatrick Rugby Camps in Milwaukee last year and since then Todd and his friends have become firm Ulster supporters.
We found some time to discuss our plans for next years camps and Todd is sure there will be a huge turnout as rugby becomes more and more popular in the States with a large playing base being developed in the local High Schools.
It was a double hit for myself, for as well as being able to present the tourists with Ulster tops and FRU tee shirts I also finally managed to get rid of that Munster top that I had drunkenly swapped my lovely Ulster top at Ulster’s fantastic 37 – 11 romp against the Turnips at Thomond Park. The top (which might need a wash) should be winging its way over the the USA and out of my sight for ever.
