Ulster Rugby have announced their series of pre-season friendlies as follows: -
Fri 21st August 7:30pm Newcastle Falcons (Ravenhill)
Wed 26th August 7:30pm Viadanna (Ravenhill)
Fri 28th August TBD Worcester (Sixways)
There is also talk of an away fixture with Bayonne but, as with last year, there are still some issues to be resolved with the French team! News is expected later this week.
It should be an entertaining game against a re-building Falcons side in their first visit to “The New Fortress”, just a pity that Wilkinson has flown the coop.
Viadanna should see the return of Ravenhill favourite Carlo Del Fava provided he’s recovered from the Italian tour to Australia and New Zealand.
The series finishes with an away trip to Sixways with what should be a challenging match against Worcester in the Kukri Challenge. No news yet if Holywood Mike will be travelling to check out the Kukri All-Starzz?
No word on whether the full terrace will be open so everyone is advised to book their tickets early to avoid disappointment. You don’t want to miss out on the opening games of the new regime.
