Kimble, URSCThe Original Kimble, Lifetime Chairman of the URSC, has hit back at the scurrilous accusations on this site regarding the draw for International Tickets at the recent Ulster Rugby Supporters Club Barbeque.

“Since taking over the URSC I have tried to bring the members into the 20th Century never mind the 21st. Over the last 18 months I have tried to bring youth through and develop local home grown talent to run functions such as ballots and prize draws and to provide entertainment on away trips as, after all, it does get boring looking at the same old beardy faces at every event.

Obviously these youngsters are going to make mistakes and fail to close out ballots properly, but it is all a learning experience and I assure you under my leadership things will be better next year. The ballot for tickets was going well until the final moments when we failed to close it out and ended up selling tickets to a non-member of the URSC.

You have to bear in mind that 3 of the people involved in the ballet were under 50 which I thinks makes us one of the youngest balloting teams in the Magners league and next year we expect to get that average age down to 25 by “retiring” Cap’n Grumpy.”

Reports that Matt Williams and Kimble have never been in the same room at the same time are unfounded.

Parky, I hope you are not insinuating that the Tigers / Blues match was a BALLET? Or did the BALLET actually take place at Newforge? I know I saw Gemma in a pair of Ulster Rugby shorts, (which she won fair and square in the BALLOT), but I didn’t see anyone in a tutu!

BTW, as such a loyal supporter of URSC (something the actual members patently are not – allegedly), is there any truth in the rumours that you’re starting a new club – The Ulster Rugby Supporters’ Club Supporters’ Club (URSCSC)?

If so will you have time to support Ulster while dedicating yourself to supporting the supporters?

Actually Grumps, Parky didn’t write this one I did. (And I am a member of the URSC!)
PS. Thanks for actually picking up on Ballet!

Sorry Dewi – I shoulda realised it was you and not Parky – it WAS funny (in parts).

    Sentiments still apply though!

I take it that there’s little point in telling you I had nathin to do with the ballet …… I mean, BALLOT?

(or that the contentious tickets weren’t actually sold, but given away, free gratis and for nothin)

    Grumps

PS – I took a couple of photies of kimble and Matt W TOGETHER in the same room last night with the old Box-Brownie, but when I got them developed today, kimble was missing from one of them, and Matty from the other one.

    SPOOKY!!!

    Smoke and mirrors?????
