The FRU can exclusively reveal that kit sponsors Kukri have signed Ulsters’ new players as a six piece boy band.
The group, led by front man Cillian Willis, performed for the first time at the recent URSC Meet the Players evening at Newforge and after some tricky questions they quickly segued into some timeless classics such as “Munsters in Red”, “The Lady Boys are Back in Town” and “My Old Man Said Be An Ulster Fan”.
The gorgeous, pouting, Willis (cousin of international star Ronan Keating) was delighted with the groups first outing and told The FRU, ” We’ve come a long long way together, through the ring of fire but nothing’s gonna stop us now!”
Backing singer BJ Botha added, “I had to keep my singing secret during my time in South Africa as it’s a very macho environment. However once I found out that all the Ulster players sing in the shower I was only too happy to join in and give the group the benefit of my rich deep baritone! Ed’s currently working on some sequined tunics and we’ll look baie mooi I’m sure!”
Shy heart-throb Robbie Diack was also pleased to be involved with the group, ” It’s been a great way for the boys to settle in at Ulster. After training we work on our dance routines in the changing rooms and the rest of the Ulster players are only too happy to advise us, particularly Bryn Cunningham!”
The Ulster All Starzz next performance wil be at the FRU awards night in May.
