The gorgeous girls of UW Milwaukee Lady Panthers continued their impressive pre-season with a narrow win over local rivals Indiana University 34-31.
Despite constant rain the Lady Panthers and Red Storm Women served up a feast of rugby in this extremely well-contested match. Early scores by try scoring legend Brittany Biedenbender and Meghan “Can’t Fight The Moonlight” Hausman put the Panthers in a good position early on. However the athletic and abrasive Indiana University fought back and tested Ulster’s favourites at every breakdown, creating havoc on the field with their explosive back play. Fortunately the Panthers superior fitness told in the end with our girls running in three tries in the last 20 minutes to claim the match.
