The arrival of the new players certainly seems to have peaked everyone’s interest over the summer months as this was easily the largest response to any Ulster online poll.
Despite a late surge, from two to fourteen votes, by Ed O’Donoghue once the friendlies got under way it was never going to be enough to totals for South Africans, Botha and Diack. It really was quite an exciting race with the lead changing hands several times between these two forwards. However with a late surge shortly after his arrival in Ulster (surely not Mrs Botha?) old BJ managed to hold off his younger rival and take the prize.
Having witnessed his immense contribution in the first match against Llanelli, I think the results are just about right.
OK It's the one that had to be asked! Who is going to win the Magners League semi-final on Friday Night? Ulster or Leinster Total Voters: 52

might be difficult for Botha, or Nagusa for that matter, to make much of an impact if they are not playing for us.
It might indeed Freddy, but we’ve nothing better to do in the off season but speculate. Besides Botha’s dog told me…
