Our old friend Glynn Commando has been campaigning over on the UAFC site for some form of recognition that next year is the tenth anniversary of that glorious afternoon in January when Ulster won the Heineken Cup. Not only did we win the cup but we managed to save a dying competition form oblivion.
With huge crowds at the quarter and semi finals Ulster gave Heineken what they wanted and when fifty odd thousand trucked up at Lansdowne Road the English Clubs were practically wetting themselves to get back in.
As a fitting tribute, GC has suggested adding a star to the Ulster logo to reflect the Heineken Cup win, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. (In fact we’ve added the star from the Heineken logo!)
You know it doesn’t look too bad. Ulster Rugby should bring out a series of tee-shirts with that design. If they don’t we will. (Subject to appropriate copyright changes!)

Excellent idea ……..but don’t expect the Ulster marketing machine (whoever he is) to do it anytime soon
