The FRU are pleased to announce that Justin Fitzpatrick of Ulster Rugby will be appearing at three Rugby Training Camps in the USA this summer.

Thanks to our contacts at The University of Wisconsin, Justin will be holding camps at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (home of The Panthers), the University of Wisconsin – Madison and Southside Irish RFC in Chicago. The camps will be targeting players aged 17 – 23 in the Midwest with two of the camps for males and one for females.

Scot Prunkle, coach of the highly successful UWM Lady Panthers and the Midwest U19 sides, said earlier today,

“We are delighted that Justin will be joining the camps. The Midwest has the largest number of registered players in the USA but has struggled to attract top quality coaches. Having witnessed Justin’s coaching first hand during our visit to Ulster in January I am certain that the camps will be a huge success.”

“The players and coaches I have spoken to about these camps are very excited that they will have the opportunity to learn from someone like Justin’s with his extensive experience for Ulster, Ireland and The Barbarians.”

Justin said of the camps,

“I would like to thank The FRU for helping organise this venture at short notice. This is an exciting first step on what I hope is a mutually rewarding relationship between the rugby fraternity in the Midwest and Ulster. I would also like to thank Mike Reid and Matt Williams of Ulster Rugby for their support.”

The Midwest is the largest playing area in the USA with over 14,000 registered players.
