An FRU spokespersona today accused one of its own blog writers as ‘living in the real world’ and of ‘distorting the FRU’s cherished values of, ‘untruth, hyprocisy and blatant distortion of fact’.
The anonymous FRUian described real criticism of the second barrier crew as being contrary to the, ‘spirit of traditional FRU lies, misrepresentation of true events and contradictory statements’.
Continued the spokespersona, “We at the FRU have long held in high regard, invalid criticisms, inaccurate comments and unwarranted insults. We are not about to change the habits of a lifetime and criticise this b@stard even though it’s a load of rugby balls..”
Mike Reid also weighed in with an attack on the author of the blog claiming he, (Mike) had been misquoted and wished to state that, “by and large the fans suicide notes were in fact, very well written and concise in saying exactly what they thought of the team and UR.”
Mike admitted there were a few fans who were obviously at the end of their tether and had strayed across the line into writing abusive notes about UR. “These were not representative of the vast majority of suicide notes he’d received,” said Mike.
