Ed O’Donoghue born 26 June 1982 in London, England to irish parents, he played for the Queensland Reds in the Super 14 competition. He is Irish qualified.

Ed O’Donoghue’s position of choice is as a lock and he can also operate as a flanker.

He has previously played for Northampton Saints and Worcester Warriors in the Guinness Premiership. He struggled for first-team rugby with Northampton playing only four games.

He returned home in time for the 2006 Australian Provincial Championship and earned his first Super 14 start in the 2007 opening round against the Hurricanes, going on to play all 13 games in the season.
