It is with deep regret that we have to announce the sudden passing of Ulster Rugby’s – Mr Message-Board. He has been struggling over the last few months against a virulent strain of bullshitititis.

The FRU had many happy times in the company of Mr Message-Board and it was through him that we made many good friends. In fact Mr Message-Board encouraged us to start The FRU and our, rather poor, quarterly magazine SCOOP, when he ran out of pages for our comments.

His parents, at Ulster Rugby, had largely abandoned Mr Message-Board and their lack of care and attention allowed the virulent strain to take hold. The virus was allowed to run unchecked and when the symptoms became obvious Ulster Rugby chose to ignore them in the hope that they would go away rather than apply the required colonic irrigation.

However, we had many happy times with Mr Message-Board and prefer to remember him when he was fresh and vital.

Mr Message-Board is survived by his cousins The FRU and UAFC.

All donations can be sent to The FRU. (No flowers.)
